About Mick’s Catering

I’ve always been fascinated by food. Growing up in Toronto, my friends were children of immigrants from around the world - from Italy to the Philippines and everywhere in between. I always asked to stay for dinner when I came over! My parents supported my curiosity for food, by driving me all around the city to different restaurants and we always ordered something we had never tried before. As an adult, I’ve traveled extensively and lived in Asia and California.

These experiences have shaped my cooking by incorporating the best flavours and textures I have tasted. I think everyone is tired of tasting the same old standbys at events: I want to bring something new to the table. When you taste my food, I want you to say “wow, that was unique and delicious!”

My love for food has led me to a rich and fulfilling life doing what I love most: cooking. Whether it’s cooking for my family, friends, clients or complete strangers, I’m most happy when I’m in the kitchen.

I also love sharing — whether it’s a recipe or a hands-on cooking class, or doing cooking demos on high-end appliances, there are no secrets. Working as a culinary instructor has also given me the opportunity to show people that healthy, delicious and interesting food is within everyone’s reach.

I am currently the Corporate Chef at Luxe Appliance Studio, helping consumers navigate cooking on our three luxury brands of appliances — Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau.

I also work as a culinary instructor for My Place For Dinner, teaching corporate cooking classes at the historic St. Lawrence Market Kitchen.

So regardless of what you have in mind, reach out and let’s do something amazing with food!
